- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeds and membranes removed, finely diced (adjust to taste for spiciness)
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Tortilla chips or vegetable sticks for serving
Directions
- Prepare the avocados: Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
- Mash the avocados: Use a fork or potato masher to mash the avocado to your desired level of creaminess. Some people prefer chunky guacamole, while others like it smoother.
- Add the Tampico Citrus Fruit Punch: Pour the Citrus Fruit Punch into the mashed avocados. This will not only add a unique citrusy flavor but also help prevent the guacamole from browning.
- Add the diced vegetables: Add the diced red onion, diced tomatoes, minced garlic, and finely diced jalapeño pepper to the bowl with the avocados and citrus fruit punch.
- Season with lime juice: Squeeze the juice of one lime over the mixture. Lime juice adds a tangy and refreshing flavor to the guacamole.
- Toss in cilantro: Add the chopped cilantro to the bowl. Cilantro adds a fresh and herby dimension to the guacamole.
- Season with salt and pepper: Season the guacamole with salt and pepper to taste. Start with a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper and adjust according to your preference.
- Mix well: Gently mix all the ingredients together until everything is well combined.
- Taste and adjust: Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning or spiciness by adding more salt, pepper, or diced jalapeño if needed.
- Chill and serve: Cover the guacamole with plastic wrap, ensuring the plastic wrap touches the surface of the guacamole to minimize browning. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. When ready to serve, give it a final stir and serve with tortilla chips or vegetable sticks.
